Thoughts are ancient. It is very difficult to find a totally new thought. They have been recycled through generation to generation from the early beginning of humankind. We have got our thoughts and mindsets from our grandparents and parents, teachers, politics,TV-series (or Netflix) and friends. 

 

They are not OUR thoughts, they are just thoughts, like butterflies. Some are dark and gloomy making us on defense mode, scared, sad or even furious. Some are full of bright colors making us inspired and loving. And some are just everyday colors making life simple, practical and easy. - But anyway..they are not truths, they are just thoughts.  That is a big difference.

 

Because they are mostly recycled from the past, they are seldom useful for creating something truly new. Besides, many of them cause unnecessary suffering.  Thought Sieve is a very easy way to find the truth and calm down.

 

 

Thought Sieve - process, 2-30 seconds 

 

Just find the thought causing your emotion and ask if its is true. Just now? Just in this situation? With these people or this person? Give yourself evidence and check out if that is true.
