Meri Lähteenoksa, a neuropsychiatric coach and Master of Special Education, is known in Finland for her radical perspectives in autism, community building and awareness training. She lives in Pispala, by the lake Pyhäjärvi, Tampere, Finland. She has three children and a dog. Two of her children are on autismspectrum.

Her great love has always been to make people to understand and support each others in better ways. Meri has been part of the Cityvillage process at Annikinkadun puutalokortteli, where everyday help circles were developed to an independently thriving society taking care of all its inhabitants and helping them to fulfill their dreams. Many valuable small projects started to flourish during those years. Even today the cityvillage hosts a nationally (and internationally) known poetryfestival every second year. She has developed also models for rehabilitation for every day life as well as simple coaching techniques, which can be used by unschooled people. Lately she has been inspired to find easy ways to awaken humankind to its greatness.

Meri coaches, educates and is an inspirational speaker. She has written several books  in Finnish. We will hopefully get something in English very soon.

"Because life is such a wonder."
